Artist Bio – Jasmine Long

With over 29 years of music performance experience and more than 22 years in the professional music industry performing for luxury weddings, corporate galas, and private events, Jasmine is an artist who brings exceptional skill, soul, and sophistication to every performance.

Originally from Ontario and now proudly based in Calgary, Alberta (YYC), she is a classically trained cellist, strongly known for her versatility as both an acoustic and electric cello performer. Whether performing as a soloist or within an ensemble, her artistry resonates across genres and borders.

Her academic background is as impressive as her performance résumé. She holds four degrees, including a Bachelor of Music Performance from McGill University and Mount Royal University, a Master’s in Music Performance from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Education, specializing in music and French as a second language—a testament to her deep knowledge of both musical and linguistic pedagogy.

From intimate weddings to international stages, Jasmine] has toured nationally and globally, celebrated for her musical agility and on-the-spot improvisational brilliance. Her performance history includes collaborations with prestigious groups such as the World Korean EnsembleNational Youth OrchestraWindsor Symphony, and L’Orchestre de la Francophonie, London Orchestra, to name a few. She has also shared the stage with acclaimed artists like Il Divo, Disturbed, and Richard Clayderman.

In addition to performing, she plays a strong leadership role in the Canadian music scene. She previously served as the tour manager for the prestigious Canadian National Competition and is currently the Alberta Program Coordinator for the Pathways Program and Secretary of Operations for Electronic Symphonia, Canada’s first electronic symphony. As founder of Played With Love Inc., she also curates bespoke musical experiences for events across the country.

A dedicated educator, she is a certified RCM instructor who teaches cello, violin, piano, music theory, and history from her own studio, offering both in-person and online lessons.
